Hi ALL,
We have just released a new OpenRISC-FPGA-development board that is specially designed to match OpenRISC processor SoC designs. The board supports the most common/wanted interfaces, with a small physical size and easy connections/debugging solution. We offer this powerful board as a low-cost FPGA development board, back to the community.
We have also created a new VirtualBox-image with all OpenRISC tools pre-installed and with detailed HowTo-guides, focusing allot on making sure that all users can get started easily using the OpenRISC processor FPGA designs together with this board.

Our mission with this board is to spread the OpenRISC processor awareness and hopefully get more contributers into the project. We sell these boards via OpenCores-webshop at self-cost.

Want to buy one? Then go directly to the webshop:

Good job on this one. I tried it out and it was my first time using virtual box but I was able to bring it up and run both verilog and the instruction simulator with no problems. The youtube video really helped.

Do the licensing rules for the altera and xilinx tools prohibit shipping their tools in a virtual box?

That would really let it run the entire tool chain.

You have to register at the Altera web site to be able to download. Also, reading through their license agreement, it looks like you're not allowed to make copies. I'm not sure I understood it all though, as it's probably written by lawyers for lawyers, so see for your self. https://www.altera.com/download/licensing/lic-prog_lic.html
