Ogg Vorbis Encoder/Decoder for Virtex-II Pro

I think the aquarius cpu found here at opencores should be used.
I have already complied the Ogg example decoder in the SuperH2 ISA. From here I am going to strip the mdct code out and replace it with a recursive algorithm and remove the floor type 0 support and any other code that that may not be used.

I think the audio can be outputed using Pulse width modulation.
I still have to investigate if this will introduce to much noise.
Using PWM will have on external circuitry and small pin count, assuming basic stereo.

Are there any good docs that explain the theory of the OGG compression ?  I have read some, but they were very brief and mostly about mp3.  Good docs would help in figuring out what is best in HW and SW.

It would be really cool to build an ogg vorbis decoder, and I might be interested in participating in building one allthough I don't have much experience with VHDL/Verilog. I think it would be better to focus on making a decoder first.
